Joe Riddle

Mornings on KYFM

joe@bartlesvilleradio.com

Joe Riddle started his professional radio career in 1978 at KRMG in Tulsa as producer of the John Erling show, which he did for ten years. During those ten years, he also produced Sportsline and Nightline talk shows. Joe developed into an on air talent for KRMG and used his hobby of collecting old time radio shows to create a Sunday evening staple of Tulsa radio. When Radio Was Young started on KRMG in 1982 and aired from 82 to 85, 91 to 94 and 2000 to 2008.  In 2008, the show moved to 1170 KFAQ and in 2012 it moved to AM 970 KCFO. Where it airs today. In 1987, Joe started producing Oklahoma State University football and basketball games along with the weekly network Football and Basketball Coaches call-in shows. In 1988, Joe went to part time status with KRMG so he could pursue a dream of a college education.  Attending OSU in Stillwater he graduated in 1991 with a degree in Business Administration & Marketing. In 1991, Joe accepted his first job in sales at KRMG as an Account Executive while maintaining his job as Producer Engineer of the Cowboy Radio Network. Wondering what radio life was like outside of KRMG, Joe accepted a new challenge in 1994 with Federated Media in Tulsa becoming O.M. &  P.D. of KOOL 106.1, AM 1430, 92.1FM and The University of Tulsa Radio Network. Summer 1995 KOOL was #1. In 1996, Joe started full-time with Learfield Communications as affiliate sales manager for OU, OSU, Indiana, Purdue, and Iowa and put together the new Learfield Networks acquired Alabama, Michigan State and Syracuse. In 2000, Joe moved from Jefferson City to Norman to be an Account Executive for Sooner Sports Properties and Cowboy Sports Properties developing and selling THE BEDLAM SERIES to BOK and FORD. In 2002, Joe became a temporary host for Ross Adkins Saturday Morning Swing time on AM 1270 KRVT in Tulsa.  This job grew into being the midday personality on KRVT from 2002 to 2010 when the station was ultimately sold.  The "middle of the day show" was fun because Joe could be Joe on the radio and just have fun with the music and listeners! In 2004, Joe came full circle becoming John Erling's last producer at KRMG.  Joe continued on as Morning Show Producer/ Engineer until 2007 when he decided to take care of his father full-time. While being a caregiver, Joe continued part-time work in broadcasting producing his Old Time Radio Shows and voice over work for various markets across the country. Joe is excited to continue his broadcasting career in Bartlesville stating "working with local radio professionals in a true radio "family" is exactly what I have been wanting to do."

Middays on KRIG

I grew up in Central Ohio and, at the ripe old age of 12, decided I wanted to be on the Radio.  Got my first Radio job at 21 and it's been an amazing journey ever since.  I've been married for over 25 years to a true Radio wife and have three almost grown kids who make me smile every day!  There's only one thing that I love more than my family and Radio...the weather.  If my math skills were any good, I would of been a TV meteorologist for sure.  I've been dabbling in photography too.  Social media takes up more of my time than it should but, I love talking with my listeners.  So, find me on Facebook at Smokey Rivers and let's chat!

Afternoons on KRIG

I first started in radio at age 14 working Part Time at my hometown station in Fairfeld, Iowa.  I knew then I was hooked at being "On the Air."    I've worked at stations in Iowa, Illinois, Florida and Dallas, Texas!  My wife Heather and I have a 3 year old son named Austin Cole.  I never knew how much having a child could change your life and really make you feel like you had a purpose.  There's nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my family which also includes two dogs Buddy and Boomer.  I grew up listening to Country Music and am a huge Country Fan especially of artists from the 80's and 90's!  When I'm not working or spending time with my family I like to play guitar.  I think a lot of people in radio are actually frustrated musicians--I'm one of them.  I love to go to concerts and watch sports on TV.   My son is turning into a NASCAR fan and loves to watch the cars go "vroom, vroom" around the track.

Todd Chambless

Weekends on KRIG

I grew up in West Monroe, LA…and go back as often as I can to visit family. Radio folks normally move around more than most other professionals…so I had my share of moving. I’ve lived in cities like Wheeling, WV…Pittsburgh, PA…Columbus, OH, Macon, GA…and others in between. I’ve settled for Dallas-Fort Worth,, TX. My wife and I are actively involved in church…and we love music, traveling and being with friends. I’m a movie fan, so I love going to see new releases. I’ve always been in love with Country, Pop and Christian music…so, I’m always looking for new releases and discovering old favorites.
