Washington County Sheriff Issues a Safety Alert

The Washington County Sheriff's Department has issued a safety alert concerning an incident that took place on Thursday, August 20 in south Washington County. Deputies were dispatched to an address in the 39900 block of W 4000 Road. Their report indicates that a white male stopped some children riding bicycles for help, claiming he was lost. The children refused and informed an adult who contacted the Sheriff's Office.

Residents are asked to be aware of a white male driving a dark in color, possibly silver/blue, older model car. He is described as being 55-65 years old, balding with gray hair, 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot tall and weighing 200-220 pounds. No crime has been established at this time and this incident information is shared as a public safety alert only. Anyone with information regarding a similar incident is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 918-332-4000.
