Travel on 4020 Road in southeast Washington County came to a halt for a few minutes on Monday afternoon as the Washington County Commissioners, Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskins and Tribal Councilman Dick Lay gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Hoskins said that the Cherokee Nation has money in their budget each year to put towards road improvements and that working with the Commissioners is a good thing.

The ceremony took place at the intersection of 4020 Road and 2600 Road.
