ARF Host Successful Evening Fundraiser

Saturday evening ARF or the Animal Rescue Foundation of Bartlesville held their first Putting on the Leash evening fundraiser event at Woolaroc. ARF President, Regina Diamond, said the event was a success as they had sold all of the 100 available seats and had a waiting list. The organization had generated more than $10,000 before the evening took place. The event was emceed by special guest Brian Sanders from KJRH Channel 2 Tulsa and held a special live auction hosted by auctioneer Roger Skelly.

The event was held to raise money for the Phase 3 of construction at the ARF facility East on HWY 60 across from the Bartlesville Industrial Park. Phase 3 will see the construction of a new dog adoption area, a grooming room, veterinary area, and dog play area. ARK will be hosting an open house for their facility next weekend on Sunday December 13th from 2 to 4pm.

The live auction included wildlife and scenic Artwork including an original painting by Larry Babb and Signed Cookbooks from Ree Drummond, the live auction raised more than $3700 for the Non-Profit organization. Musical guest Lennie Baker closed out the successful evening.

Some of the participating sponsors for the event included, Dr. Bob and Yvonne James, Madison Pet Clinic, Oakley Chevrolet Buick, 4 the Animals Veterinary Clinic, Chinowth and Cohen Real-estate, ConocoPhillips, Danielle Weaver State Farm Insurance, Robert and Gay Hasbrook, Phillips 66, Walmart Logistics, Arrowhead Vet Clinic, and Wash-A-Mutt.

ARF is a 501(C)(3) and exists by donations from the public and private foundations. They do not receive assistance from the City, State or Federal Government.  The foundation is run by President Regina Diamond, Vice President Sheila Taylor, Treasurer Vickie Adams, and Secretary Kay Housman.
