A New Years Day prank turns violent when a Pryor teenager was seriously injured while “ding dong ditching.” Pryor native 14-year-old Cole Peyton was shot while pranking homes in his neighborhood.

Just after 1:30am Friday Peyton rang the doorbell of a local homeowner and then was shot at three times, one shot hit his liver and another his arm, the homeowner immediately called the police to report a home invasion and that they had shot the intruder.

Peyton was rushed to a Tulsa hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition. The Pryor Police Department is not releasing the name of the individual who shot Peyton, however the incident is under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
