OKWU Lady Eagles Smack Central Christian

History was made Tuesday night at Bartlesville. Not only OKWU pulled out an 104-66 win over Central Christian College, but Lady Eagle Kayla Morgan became the sixth Lady Eagle to join in the 1,000 point club. Morgan officially joined the club early in the third quarter after making a 3-pointer. She's currently sixth all-time scorer in the program's history. Morgan finished the evening scoring 15 points.
The Lady Eagles never trailed in the game as they were dominate on both sides of the court. OKWU allowed Central Christian to attempt five free throws for the game, making three of them. Lady Eagles Courtney Robinson came off the bench and led with 20 points. Yessenia Hernandez finished with 13 points. Courtney Backward scored her season high 11 points while Cheyenne Been added 10 points. Patience Gitau led with 10 rebounds for OKWU along with her eight points. OKWU shot 43 percent from the field and 50 percent from the 3-point line.
Lady Eagles improve to 9-8 overall and will be back in KCAC play this Thursday evening at Sterling College. Ladies play at 6 while the Men will play at 8 o'clock.
