The Pharmacy Programs Manager at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Erin Claiborne recently earned a prestigious state award. The Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists named Claiborne has been named Pharmacist of the Year. The first such award was given in 1974.

Claiborne previously held the roles of Inpatient Pharmacy Manager and Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at JPMC. In her current position, she is responsible for both the inpatient pharmacy and the retail MedCare Pharmacy.  She is responsible for the development of clinical initiatives, quality of care, regulatory compliance, and consultation with other health care providers. 

She has been actively involved in the development and implementation of several patient safety initiatives within the organization.
