An $100,000 bond has been set for a Copan woman who allegedly eluded Washington County Sheriff deputies on a high speed chase on U.S. Highway 60.  33-year old Traci Lee Stiver is charged with eluding and driving with a suspended license.  Deputies conducted a traffic stop near 4000 Road for failed to stop at a stop sign.

According to a court affidavit, Stiver sped away going east on U.S. Highway 60 going from 80 to 95 MPH and passing several vehicles.  Reportedly, Stiver's vehicle lost control, spin around several times, and slide into a grassy area at the intersection of Road 405 and EW 20 Road in Nowata County.  The affidavit states that Stiver got out of the vehicle trying to escape and was caught a short time later.  Stiver told the deputies she stole the vehicle from Hastings parking lot.

Stiver's next court date is July 29th.
