Flu season is upon Washington County. While the season began on October 2, the season won’t end until May of 2017.

Statistically, so far this season, there have been 14 hospitalizations since September with flu related illnesses. However, since October 25 through Tuesday, there have been no new hospitalizations.

Flu related illness is defined by having a fever of more than 100 degrees, combined with a cough and/or a sore throat.

There has been no flu related deaths so far in Oklahoma.
