The Nowata County Board of Commissioners met Monday for a regularly scheduled meeting.

The approval of temporary appropriations for fiscal year 2017-2018 appeared on the agenda for the third consecutive week. After hearing from all agency heads on budget recommendations the commissioners decided to recess this item and go into a special session that will take place Friday morning at 9:30.

The commissioners also heard a proposal from Mary Harris regaqrding the implementation on an enhanced 911 system for the county. Nowata County is the only county in Oklahoma not using the enhanced 911 or E911 system.

The Nowata County Board of Commissioners will next meet in a special session Friday morning at 9:30.
