A couple former Bartlesville Bruisn made a splash on big stages on Saturday in college football.

Missouri State Tailback Calen Crowder rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns, as Missouri State lost at Missouri, 72-43. Crowder had a 75-yard touchdown run that was featured on ESPN.com.

Crowder will likely be the featured back with the Bears this season. Missouri State plays FCS football out of Springfield, Missouri. Crowder is a 2013 graduate of Bartlesville High. He rushed for more than 1500 yards in his senior season at BHS in 2012. He was a three-year varsity player for the Bruins.

Also, former Bartlesville Bruin AJ Parker had one tackle for Kansas State on Saturday, as well.

This was Parker’s first action as a Wildcat – he is a redshirt freshman cornerback. K-State pounded Central Arkansas 55-10 in its home opener in Manhattan
