A man who broke into an unoccupied residence found himself booked into the Washington County Jail. Donnie Hanold appeared at the Washington County Courthouse facing a charge of second degree burglary for an incident that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to an affidavit, Bartlesville police received a call about a possible break in to a residence. An officer arrived at the residence and found the front door unlocked. Upon entry the officer found Hanold lying on a bed in the corner of the room.

When asked if he lived at the residence Hanold stated, “No I’m a friend.”

The officer observed Hanold speaking with slurred speech. He also had a large wound on his head and a large amount of blood on his face.

The police made contact with the owner of the house who stated he had previous issues with Hanold. The owner of the residence advised that Hanold had threatened to kill him about two months ago.

During his arraignment Hanold stated the address of the house he broke into as his home address.

Hanold’s next scheduled court date is set for April 27. His bond was set at $5,000.
