Bartlesville had some good performances in a statewide golf tournament earlier this week.

Former BHS Bruin Matt Russell won the South Central PGA Junior Tour - George Phillips Tournament that took place at South Lakes Golf Course in Jenks on Wednesday. Russell shot even par, four shots better than any other 16-18 year old in the field.

Russell was a senior on the Bartlesville High golf team this past season and barely missed on qualifying for state.

Another Bartlesville kid did well in the younger age group. Tanner John took fourth place in the boys 12-13 year old age division. He shot a 16-over-par 87.
