Scrimmage No. 2 is finally here at home for Bartlesville High football, and luckily it looks like the weather might comply for Thursday evening's bout.

There is a good chance of rain for Northeast Oklahoma through about 1:00 PM, but things should dry up by the time the Bruins take the field at 6:00 PM at Custer Stadium.

BHS had its first scrimmage rained out at Broken Arrow a week ago, and it was forced to take on Coweta in BA’s indoor practice facility. Bartlesville still has plenty of things to work on, as it is eight days away from its season opener at Claremore against the Zebras.

First-year Bartlesville head coach Lee Blankenship has talked about his club getting 10-percent better each week. Blankenship said he saw things he liked after the last scrimmage and he wants his team to keep grinding.

East Central and Tulsa Edison visit for the three-way scrimmage on Friday evening. 6:00 PM start time for JV, with the varsity to follow at Bartlesville High.

We will have coverage for you on Friday morning right here and online at BartlesvilleRadio.com.
