Representative Kevin Hern was appointed to new leadership positions on his committees Monday afternoon.

On the Small Business Committee, Hern will serve as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access.

On the Natural Resources Committee, Rep. Hern will serve as the Deputy Republican Leader of the Subcommittee on Energy.

Hern has had a long career in the business world, and says he looks forward to using his industry experience to make policy decisions that help, instead of hinder, the growth of American businesses.

Regarding his leadership role on the Subcommittee on Energy, Hern says he can’t wait to lend his voice to the policies that impact Oklahoma’s energy sector as he serves as the Deputy Republican Leader.
