A Dewey woman was arrested after giving police a fake name as well as possessing methamphetamine. Ashley Doggett appeared at the Washington County Courthouse on Monday facing a felony charge of false impersonation to create liability and a misdemeanor count of possession of an amphetamine with intent to distribute.

According to an affidavit, contact was made with Doggett who was walking with a male on Santa Fe Avenue in Bartlesville. Doggett stated that her name was ‘Ashley Tisdale’. The officer was able to get Doggett to volunteer her real name and discovered an active City of Bartlesville warrant.

Officer searched Doggett’s person and discovered two bags containing a white crystal-like substance. One bag contained seven grams and the other held just over two grams. Several other plastic bags were found on her person as well. The substance later tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

Bond was set at $7,500. Doggett’s next scheduled court appearance is set for February 8.
