Bartlesville KLIFE is breaking ground this month on a new 8,000 square-foot activity center that will house the youth organization’s programs. K LIFE is creating the updated campus for its programs at 1815 Hillcrest Drive which is located across the street from Bartlesville High School.

Communications Chairwoman Laura Walton with the Fortify Tomorrow Campaign helped raise the $3 million that makes this new facility possible and explains its importance to Bartlesville. She says K Life hopes the new youth center will be welcoming to all Bartlesville youth.

A variety of activities can be held at the same time throughout the building and on the 1.5 acre site upon which it will stand. The center is planned as a place to facilitate K Life’s purpose of connecting with kids from every school, denomination and demographic through weekly clubs, small group Bible studies and one-to-one mentoring relationships.

The new K Life youth center was designed by Dan Keleher Architects. The building will be built by Gorman Construction. Groundbreaking on the new center will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Bartlesville KLIFE was established in 1987 as one of the first chapters in a national organization dedicated to working alongside churches and families to teach and encourage students. The local organization, which serves students from elementary age through senior high school, sees about 500 different kids in any given month through various programs.
