The Dewey Public Works Authority meeting followed the Dewey City Council meeting Monday night. In that meeting, Dewey City Manager Kevin Trease gave an update on how the new Dewey police station is coming along.

Contractors could finish the metal work on the building this weekend. Rain delays are anticipated to cause them to miss a couple days of work this week. Electric, plumbing and mechanical work is also coming along. Trease says sheet rock will follow those steps.

Trease adds that he will be discussing concrete plans when the metal work is done. He says that will include sidewalks and front entrance parking at the new police station. The new police building, Trease says, could be completed in the spring.
