Planning Design Group out of Tulsa continues to make strides on the renovations at Price Fields in Bartlesville. Bartlesville City Councilman Jim Curd says the last segment the group is working on is a tricky one. He says the segment will see all the power situated and the new concession stand with restroom facilities.

The renovation of five fields will also take place. However, Curd says they will renovate four of the five fields because they want to leave the original road into Price Fields in place until a future phase. He says in a future phase they will install a road entrance from the south which will also address the remaining field.

When the Price Field project is complete, Curd says the renovations will open doors to tournaments in Bartlesville. He also says it will depend on the active parent groups to make that possible. It takes an active parent group to put on a tournament, Curd says.

The renovated facilities will best represent the community in Curds eyes though and that will allow parents to take more pride in hosting tournaments in Bartlesville. He says things will also be way easier for parents to put on tournaments.

Curd also notes that the city should have a meeting coming up where they will discuss the installment of scoreboards at Price Fields. He says they already have a sponsor for the scoreboards and Barry Switzer has a group coming to town that will make this possible. The city hopes to conclude the renovations by June 2019.
