Washington County Commissioner Mike Bouvier recently attended an ACCO safety meeting in Oklahoma City where officials talked about medical marijuana. Bouvier says the meeting covered the issue of medical marijuana usage by county employees. He says he obtained information that could soon be in the medical section of Washington County's safety handbook.

The information has training tips for supervisors, a "do's" and "don'ts" section as well as a takeaway section. A list of medical marijuana systems will also go into the safety handbook.

Bouvier says the commissioners are responsible for the safety of their crews.

Bouvier continues to attend meetings in Oklahoma City this week. He says ACCO has a safety meeting twice a year in Oklahoma City. The meetings this week are focusing more on legislative sessions.
