An alleged armed robbery occurred on Friday at the Skyline Motel after a drug deal went wrong. Quincy Goree was arraigned at the Washington County Courthouse on Tuesday facing charges of robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy. Goree is one of four people believed to be involved with the crime.

According to an affidavit, the three victims made arrangements for a female to come to their room at the motel to purchase marijuana. A knock was heard at the door and the female appeared with two men holding guns. The men rushed in the room to take two iPhone’s, $1,000 in cash as well as one ounce of marijuana. One victim claims that on the way out of the room Goree used the grip portion of pistol to strike him in the back of the head.

Police later obtained surveillance video that showed all four people approach the motel. The defendant’s briefly engaged with the hotel staff before approaching the room in question. The video confirms the statement of the victims.

While leaving the motel one of the defendants fired four rounds at room from a moving vehicle. Police believe that all four conspired to commit the crime together. Two of the victims gave a positive identification of Goree as one of the men holding a gun in the motel room.

Goree’s bond is set at $100,000. He will appear in court again on Wednesday.
