Bartlesville Fire Chief John Banks presented the department’s annual report at Monday night’s meeting of the Bartlesville City Council. The average response time for the first crew to arrive on the scene was four minutes and fifty-three seconds.

The Bartlesville FD adheres to the guidelines of an average response time of five minutes for the first truck to arrive on the scene. A fully responsive crew is expected be on site within nine minutes.
Chief Banks says nearly every time that goal is achieved.

In total, BFD responded to 3,809 calls within the last year.  Of those 181 were fires within the city limits. The BFD responded to 46 fires outside of city limits in which response times averaged around 11 minutes.

The fire department was quick to respond to EMS calls as well. They average a response just over four minutes in the more than 2,600 calls of that nature.
