Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe says the United States military is slowly recovering since the days of the Obama Administration. Inhofe says the budget for the military dropped 25-percent in the 5-years prior to President Donald Trump's inauguration.

He says the best military in the world gradually fell behind the rest of the world. The Chairman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff recently said that the U.S. Military is trailing China in artillery 5 to 1 and the Russians in the same category 10 to 1. Inhofe even mentioned that the U.S. Military doesn't have quite the capability the Chinese and Russian militaries have.

According to Inhofe, the Chinese and Russian military's even have a system in place now to render surface air missiles as useless. Both military's are also ahead when it comes to a new military trend called hyper-sonics. Inhofe explains that hyper-sonics is a type of delivery of a weapons system that is measured as five-times the speed of sound.

Sen. Inhofe says they can only make up for lost time and a diminished budget. While it hasn't been officially announced, Inhofe says the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget could be close to $750 billion, which would help a previously suffering military when it comes to advancement.
