Municipal Candidates File for Office in Washington County

Copan voters and Ochelata voters will have a choice of candidates for municipal office.   Jerre Jay challenged incumbent ward one candidate David Long for his Copan city council seat and Michele Rader challenged incumbent Doris Young for the office of Ochelata Treasurer.  Both offices will be decided April 2nd.  Six candidates will vie for three Trusteeships in Ochelata.  Candidates include Derek Shivel, James Virden, Janie Woodard, Addisyn Hays, Sydney Barnes, Rick Barnes,
 
Only a single individual filed for the other available offices. Edward John Beers will occupy the Copan ward 3 seat, Rea Madden claimed the ward 5 seat and Devin Black will serve as Copan's clerk.  In Ramona, David McFarland, Matthew Roebuck, and Dustin Peck will serve as Ramona's trustees and Amy Kinney will continue as the municipal clerk.    Archie Medlock will fill the 2 year unexpired term as a trustee for Ochelata.
