Bartlesville Fire Chief John Banks says 14 structure fires from July to November 2018 were arson related cases. Out of those 14 fires, only one structure was occupied. No one was harmed in these fires that occured in the Jane Phillips area of Bartlesville. The fires were getting out of hand though, Bank notes.

Chief Banks notes that officials working the case have a potential suspect and await an arrest warrant from the District Attorney's office. He says two arson investigators and officers with the Bartlesville Police Department really came together to put the departments on the right trail.

Banks says the serial arsonist cases were unusual for the Bartlesville community. He says the City of Bartlesville hasn't seen arson related cases of that nature happen in quite some time.
