A Ramona man was arrested after an altercation in the parking lot of a Bartlesville hotel on Sunday afternoon. Willis Harris was charged with a felonious count of threats to kill, second degree robbery, assault on a peace officer, and transferring bodily fluids on a state employee.

According to an affidavit, Harris came to visit the victim who was employed at the hotel. The two had been on a few dates but the female victim said they were no longer dating. The woman stated she was busy and could not visit with Harris.

After leaving work for the day the woman found Harris waiting for her in the parking lot. The woman refused to go with Harris to eat. Then Harris threatened to stab the woman. She was not fazed by this threat. The woman tried to leave the scene and Harris threatened to kill her if she left. He then slapped the drink out of her hand and took her cell phone.

Harris was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Harris repeatedly kept banging on the door of a holding cell. Harris continued to be noncompliant and appeared ready to fight. Jail officers then attempted to put Harris in a restraint chair. At this time Harris spit in the face of the officer multiple times.

Harris was also disruptive during an arraignment at the Washington County Courthouse on Monday. Harris briefly caused an undisclosed disruption that forced the arraignment docket to be temporarily halted. Bond was set at $50,000. Harris will appear again on Tuesday where his bond could be revisited.
