The Dewey Bulldoggers will head to Kellyville for the 3A district playoffs on Friday night. Despite its 7-15 record, Dewey has been playing good basketball of late having four of its last six games. The Doggers dropped Tuesday’s regular season finale to Caney in convincing fashion.

No matter the result Dewey will move on to regionals, which will also be in Kellyville. The Doggers have potential matchups with Adair, a team they lost two of three game against, or 3A No. 4 Metro Christian.

Dewey and Kellyville each played in the Kiefer tournament last month but they did not matchup with each other. The Ponies finished fifth place and the Doggers took seventh. Kellyville is 10-11 overall and it has dropped four of its last six games.

The Doggers offense will faced with a tough task. Kellyville held opponents under 50 points in eight of its ten wins on the year. Dewey has a very capable offense led by Caden Baughn who averages over 20 points per game.

Radio coverage from Kellyville can be on KRIG 104.9 FM. Pregame at 7:45 p.m.
