Saturday marks the biggest game of the year for Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s basketball. The first-ranked Eagles take on No. 6 Southwestern in a winner-take-all battle for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship. The Eagles are looking to rebound after dropping their second game all season at Ottawa on Tuesday.

Southwestern previously knocked off the Eagles, 72-68, on January 7. The 68 points is tied for the lowest output from the Eagles all season. The teams have split the last four matchups. The Eagles demolished the Builders in the KCAC tournament championship in 2018. A win for Southwestern would give them a second consecutive KCAC regular season title.

The Lady Eagles have a chance to clinch the fifth seed going into next week’s conference tournament with a win. The Southwestern women’s team is 4-24 on the season. The Lady Eagles know they will be playing on the regardless of Saturday’s outcome.

Tipoff for the regular season’s final doubleheader is set for 3 p.m. Radio coverage can be heard on KWON am 1400—FM 93.3 as well Sportstalk 1500 AM—99.1 FM KPGM.
