An alleged hit and run incident occurred near the intersection of Frank Phillips Boulevard and Sunset Avenue in Bartlesville last Thursday. Victor Jackson was charged with leaving the scene of an injury collision. Jackson was arraigned on this charge at the Washington County Courthouse on Tuesday.

According to an affidavit, an officer made contact with Jackson who claimed to be the first to arrive on the scene collision between a motorcycle and a gold Lexus. Jackson only told officers that the motorcycle was going too fast. At no time did Jackson mention that the Lexus was his vehicle.

Later another officer witnessed Jackson walking away from the scene of the accident. Jackson began running and eventually eluded police. While the Lexus was being taken to impound officers noted several business cards bearing Jackson’s name in the vehicle.

The next day Jackson spoke with officers at the Bartlesville Police station. He said his house was on Sunset Avenue and that’s why he arrived before officers. Jackson stated that he never volunteered that the Lexus was his because no one ever asked. At this time Jackson was placed under arrest. Jackson posted a $2,500 bond.
