Despite battling poor weather for much of its season, Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball has extended its winning streak to 12 games after a weekend sweep of St. Mary. The series was moved to Bartlesville and the Eagles felt right at home as they scored 45 runs in three games, 40 of which came in a Saturday doubleheader at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.

OKWU head coach Kirk Kelley says everyone was clicking at the plate on Saturday.

The 1-2 punch of Austin Sojka and Drenis Ozuna at the top of the order created instant offense. The duo reached base 13 times and scored 13 runs on the weekend. Kelley says the two do so many good things for the offense.

The Eagles are slated for two midweek games against Central Christian and Baker College, weather permitting. Kelley says playing midweek will help the team continue to foster pitching depth going forward. OKWU is 15-3 on the season.
