Roger State University’s 10th Annual Bartlesville Scholarship Breakfast will take place Friday. RSU Development Manager Angie Thompson says they have added a celebratory piece to their breakfast this year.

She says this year they have collected a group of students and alums that they are calling "ambassadors." One student from the group of ambassadors will sit at a table to talk to Scholarship Breakfast participants about their time at RSU. Some of the students in this group are this year's recipients. Thompson says the students are remarkable since they work full time while they're trying to complete their degrees.

Thompson says there is no cost to attend the event. RSU’s Bartlesville Scholarship Breakfast is a fundraising effort that will benefit local students with restricted scholarships. Proceeds from the breakfast impact local degree-seeking students. A complimentary breakfast will be provided.

The event will feature award-winning KJRH news anchor Karen Larsen and Russell Arellanes, a 2016 RSU alum and past scholarship recipient. Arellanes is completing a medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

Advanced registration is required. Guest may pre-register at www.rsu.edu/bsb. You can contact Thompson as well. Her email is athompson@rsu.edu. The breakfast will take place at the Bartlesville Community Center from 8:15 to 9:30 AM.
