Martha's Task in Bartlesville is taking reservations for their 8th annual Purse-N-Ali-Tea Party. Executive Director Laura Walton says it is time to serve up some merriment for a good cause with Martha's Task's spring tradition.

Walton says the party offers a "high tea" atmosphere as they offer a tea party for grown-ups. She says purses are also involved with the event (hence the name "PURSE-N-Ali-Tea"). Local seamstresses make the purses that go up for bid.

Purses from around the United States also go out for bid during Purse-N-Ali-Tea. Walton says purses from Alska, California and Iowa will be up for bid as well. She says local and national purses at the event will be unique purses you wouldn't find in a store, which is why the bidding is competitive every year.

Walton says a hat competition is back by popular demand this year. A vintage jewelry category for tea guests who want to show off their finery will also take place.

The 8th annual Purse-N-Ali-Tea Party will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27 th at Good Shepard Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville. Tickets cost $25 with all funds raised going to support Martha's Task.

You can call Martha's Task at 918.336.8275 to purchase your tickets. Tickets for the Purse-N-Ali-Tea Party can also be purchased at Eventbrite.com. Reservations are required to attend the event.
