Bartlesville High School senior, Margaret Drummond paged for State Representative Derrel Fincher this week at the State Capitol.

Fincher says being a Page allows students to see the Legislature from the inside and understand a bit more of how the Legislature operates.  Margaret Drummond spent a session inside the House chamber, getting an up-close look at how bills are presented, questioned and voted on, and seeing the rules that govern how business is conducted. Fincher says he was impressed by how quickly she understood actual floor procedure.

Drummond plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania this fall to study international relations and economics. Her community service projects include: serving in various roles in the National Honor Society; in Interact and Environmental Clubs where she participates in community trash pick-ups; she sponsors an Afghan middle school student; she is helping to fund a third-world clean water well initiative; working in food kitchens and the public library among other pursuits. She also participates in cross country, Spanish and French Clubs, Philosophy Club and working in a frame shop. She’s received the Academic All State Student Award and was named Student of the Year at Bartlesville High School.
