Spirit Church in Bartlesville has seen their outreach event called “Day of Hope” grow.

Associate Pastor Ike Amaro explained that the church hopes to continue to grow in the community. With that in mind, they are growing their Day of Hope event this year by getting with other congregations to make a difference in the lives of Bartlesville's residents.

A national organization out of Springfield, Missouri called "Convoy of Hope" will partner with Spirit Church and other churches in Bartlesville for the day full of outreach. They will partner with local businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits to spread kindness to the residents of Bartlesville next weekend as well.

In 2018, more than 96,000 Guests of Honor were served by Convoy of Hope Community Events around the country. This year, the community event will provide up to $500,000 worth of goods and services. In Bartlesville, Pastor Amaro said Convoy of Hope and other organizations will offer a variety of services for people in the community.

During the Community Event, Convoy of Hope and the Bartlesville community will provide free groceries, health services, haircuts, family portraits, job services, veteran services, a kid’s zone, a hot meal, new children’s shoes, and more, while supplies last. Identification is not required to attend or participate in the event. Everyone is welcome.

Kiddie Park has also be reserved for the event and will be free to you and your child. It will be open from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 24th.
