Students from the Nowata Elm Bend and Oklahoma Union 4-H clubs were present at Tuesday’s Nowata County Commissioners meeting. Jace Hawk, Caleb Parrish, Kirsten Roberts and Connor Langworthy presented a resolution for National 4-H week. Here is an excerpt of that declaration.

The kids said that they enjoyed showing hogs, steer and other animals through 4-H. The commissioner commended the students for participating in the programs and also speaking at the meeting. Commissioner Burke LaRue said it will be these students that will be providing food for the community in the future.

The commissioners also signed several resolutions and heard from citizens. Chairman Doug Sonenberg was absent from the meeting.
