Two bids were awarded at Monday morning’s meeting of the Nowata County Commissioners. The first was for rip rap work on Bridge No. 76 on Purgatory Creek. This has been a longstanding project that has gone out for bids multiple times. The bid was awarded to T & T Bridge out of Hulbert, Oklahoma in the amount of $72,500.

A two-month bid was also awarded for rock and shale mix. District one and three awarded the bid to MLR Enterprises, while district two awarded bids to both MLR and Peerless Materials.

Also, county treasurer Lynn Wesson brought forward a resolution to liquidate one of the county’s investment CD’s. Wesson consulted with the district’s attorney office and an accountant. This will put $675,000 in to the operational budget for the county.

Finally, next Monday December 16 will be the final commissioners meeting of 2019.
