ConocoPhillips has announced a multi-year project to refresh its Plaza Office Building (POB) in downtown Bartlesville.

According to a company press release:

One of the primary goals of the project is to improve the employee experience in Bartlesville. The project focuses on upgrading infrastructure, furnishing and lighting throughout the building while doing some cosmetic work as well. Work will begin in 2020.

“This project helps ensure that we continue to provide our Bartlesville employees with a great working environment,” said Andrew Thompson, ConocoPhillips’ general manager of Financial Services.

The company’s Bartlesville Leadership Team and its Real Estate team worked closely with senior leaders in Houston, where the company is headquartered, to create the multi-year plan for the project. Though the POB has been the focus of significant refresh work in recent years, including the building’s main lobby and some common areas, this project will represent some of the most comprehensive workspace activity to occur on ConocoPhillips’ downtown Bartlesville campus.

The company’s downtown Bartlesville campus is comprised of the POB, the Information Center and the Frank Phillips Tower Center. Of the company’s approximately 1,100 Bartlesville employees, around 830 work in the POB, which was originally built in the 1980s.
