The new COVID-19 update has been announced by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the numbers have shot up to 164 positive cases statewide. Washington County has seen an increase to three positives and Osage County has seen its first positive case.

There were 108 reported positive tests in the state on Tuesday. This is the biggest single day increase since the OSDH began reporting COVID-19 cases. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt said yesterday he believes the numbers are higher than what is being reported.

There are an additional two deaths, both from Oklahoma County, one male in his 70s and one male in his 40s. The OSDH has been working aggressively to establish four satellite testing locations in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kay, and Pittsburg counties.

Osage County is one of eight new counties to report a case. Nowata county still does not have a confirmed positive COVID-19 case.
