Former Bartian Selected for MIAA Hall of Fame

A former Bartlesville athletic standout has been honored for his contributions to the coaching. Tom Myers, a former Bruins and Doenges Ford Indians players, has been inducted into the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Hall of Fame.

Myers spent ten season as a coach in the NCAA Division II conference with the University of Central Missouri and Pittsburg State University. Myers was more noted for his time at UCM where he led the Mules to six consecutive appearances in the NCAA DII Tournament. The Mules made three World Series appearances as well.

He also led Pitt. State to one NCAA postseason appearance. He resigned from the Gorillas job after the 2018 season. Myers finished his coaching career with a 367-139 record. Myers had a three-year playing career at PSU as well.

A Hall of Fame ceremony will be announced at a later date.
