A proposal from Horizon Environmental Services, Inc., for American Burying Beetle survey for the Bison Road project in District Two of Washington County was approved on Tuesday.

Washington County Commissioner Mike Bouvier said this should have taken place awhile back. He said weather could determine when the survey takes place, too.

The temperature has to be in the 60's in the evenings and overnight for the survey to take place. There has to be a period without rain as well. Winds cannot be over 10 miles per hour.

Commissioner Bouvier said the American Burying Beetle survey by Horizon Environmental Services, Inc. should start this July. He said the group would be scheduled to complete the scope of the work within 10 days once a notice to proceed is received by Washington County. The project will cost just over $4,000.

The Bison Road project in District Two of Washington County has already been awarded to Paradigm Construction & Engineering, Inc. out of Tulsa.
