Veterans Connection Organization, a non-profit in Bartlesville, is partnering with Luigi's Italian Restaurant, Deeper Roots Ministries, and Spirit Church to put on a pizza drive-thru for veterans.

Sharon Reese, the Executive Director for VCO, said the event will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18th at the Strategy Center parking lot located 6105 SE Nowata Road. She said the Strategy Building is Tri County Tech's Business Center.

The pizza drive-thru for veterans will go on while supplies last. Veterans, you will enter through one entrance and exit out the other. Any veteran participating in the free event will need to present their ID or DD214.

Reese said Veterans Connection Organization and its partners felt as if giving pizza to their veterans would be a great way to help them rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. She said they will be giving away free food to veterans once a month so they will not have to cook for one day out of the month.

Veterans Connection Organization collaborates with anyone who is willing to pay it forward to our veterans. Reese said they are not looking to compete with other groups. She said they only want to partner up with groups and individuals who want to improve the quality of life for our veterans.

Thanks went out to VCO's sponsor that are helping to make the veteran's pizza drive-thru possible. Reese also thank her board for all their hard work. She said Veteran's Connection Organization is a small but powerful group, and she is grateful for their commitment to their mission.
