Bruins Have Two-Sport Star in Winters

One sport stars can be hard to find but a two-sport stud can be even more difficult to locate. Bartlesville may have one of the top football players in the state in linebacker Braeden Winters, who also just finished a stellar season on the diamond with the Doenges Ford Indians.
As of Monday, Winters in second in voting for the Tulsa World’s preseason all-state team among linebackers. Winters also hit two home runs in the Indians final weekend on the diamond just a few days ago. His summer baseball coach John Pannell says his work ethic will lead him to success no matter what.
Winters missed a handful of game with an injury but return in time to hit for a .303 average with 11 runs batted in. Winters should be a handful on the football field in fall as he has already attracted some attention from college coaches. Winters and two-sport teammate Rocky Shuman recently went on a recruiting visit to the University of Central Oklahoma.
