Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s soccer was on the wrong side of marquee battle in Bartlesville on Saturday. The fourth-ranked Eagles lost to No. 1 Central Methodist 3-2 in double-overtime. The defending national champions netted a 105th minute goal to down OKWU.

Luka Lucic and Pol Mur each had goals in regulation. Reigning NAIA Player of the Year Stefan Lukic missed a penalty kick that would have given OWKU a 2-0 lead in the first half. OKWU now stands at 13-2-1 on the season. The Eagles next match up comes on Tuesday, March 23rd against Ottawa University.

The OKWU women’s team topped Missouri Valley College 7-3 on Saturday as well. Marjolen Nekesa registered a hat trick. Her 87th minute strike put the cherry on the top of the Lady Eagles victory. OKWU is 12-2 overall.
