An Emergency Management Performance Grant Request for Reimbursement was approved by the Washington County Commissioners on Monday morning.

Washington County Emergency Management (WCEM) Director Kary Cox said this is the WCEM's quarterly report and request for reimbursement on their Operational Grant that they get from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM). He said the reporting process has been paired down because everything is moving to an online platform.

Cox said the WCEM was told in a recent meeting that the process will be simplified even more as online reporting becomes more readily available. He said they were told that only time that the Washington County Commissioners would have to review and sign the report next year is when the original grant application packet is presented.

In the past, the Washington County Commissioners would have to approve and sign the packet before approving and signing the letter of commitment. From there the Commissioners have had to approve and sign all the quarterly reports.

Cox said OEM is reverting to the same format that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) uses. He said following FEMA's format would allow the Commissioners to sign the original application before appointing someone to act as an agent for Washington County that signs off on the rest of the documents/paperwork.

The Washington County Commissioners would go on to approve a detention agreement with Tulsa County. The juvenile detention agreement was for $68.25 per day per inmate.

The Commissioners would also approve a request for salary and benefits for the Washington County Election Board Secretary in the amount of $4,911.98 for the month of March.

Next, the Washington County Commissioners would approve a reconcilement report from the Washington County Court Clerk for the month of March in the amount $951,649.20.

Then, the Commissioners would approve the Washington County Clerk's Cashbook and Summary Report for the month of March in the amount of $58,035.42.

Lastly, the Commissioners approved a report of Washington County Election Board for the month of March in the amount of $5,615.24.
