Everything from a possible relaxation of the COVID measures, to the bond issue and the Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation's Teacher of the Year event was covered on Wednesday on COMMUNITY CONNECTION.

Supt. Chuck McCauley was very hopeful that COVID-19 measures would be relaxed by Monday if the meterics to be released on Wednesday remain the same or improve as far a COVID-19 cases are concerned. If the numbers are good, face covering will become optional for both students and staff. The decision on that issue will be made late on Thursday.

McCauley informed us that there are no active COVID-19 cases districtwide as of the airing of this program.

Agriculture teacher Marty Jones was also a guest on the show and brought us up to date on all the successes of the Bartleville Future Farmers of America and the success and support the school is receiving since the Vo-AG programs began last year at Bartlesville High School.

McCauley said the the Ag program will benefit greatly from a newly proposed bond issue that, if aproved, would build a new facility that would be the Ag Center across the street from the Bartlesville High School main campus.

Blair Ellis with the Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation was another guest on the show and reminded listeners and viewers about the Teacher of the Year event planned for Tuesday, April 27, on Rigdon Field at Doenges Stadium which will feature several awards to recognize teacher that have performed well.
