Construction crews have been working on a water line project along Frank Phillips Blvd and Highway 75 for the last three weeks now. The right turn lane for southbound U.S. Highway 75 is closed and more lane closures are expected in the next few weeks, pending weather conditions. Water Utilities Director for the City of Bartlesville, Terry Lauritsen explains the purpose of this project:

“This is the main water feed for the hospital and a secondary feed for the hot, warm and cold tanks on Adams Blvd. We have experienced many leaks on these water lines over the years and they were due to be replaced.”

The first leg of the project, replacement of lines from Comanche Street to Silver Lake Rd. was completed in 2014.
