Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball is set to open play in the NAIA World Series on Friday with a top-tier battle against Georgia Gwinnett College. The Eagles got the chance to practice multiple times since their arrival in Lewiston, Idaho on Wednesday.
OKWU is among the ten best teams in the NAIA. The Eagles offense which ranks amongst the best in the nation in several categories could give them a leg up on the competition. Head coach Kirk Kelley talks about his star-studded lineup.
The Eagles pitching staff has been reliant on a strong bullpen throughout the spring. A wholestaff approach was taken to get OKWU through the Marian Regional last week. Kelley gives his thoughts on the team’s pitching.
All the World Series games will take place at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho. First pitch is set for 1:30 p.m. central time. A live stream is offered on the NAIA website.
