Local Stars Shine in OBCA All-Star Game

Three local stars were able to play in the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association 2A-3A All-Star at the University of Central Oklahoma on Friday. The 2A squad had Oklahoma Union’s Jace Hollingshed, Nate Collier and Nowata’s Mark Price. The team was led by former Nowata boy’s head coach Gary Hollingshed.
2A squad took an early 15-2 on five straight three’s top open the game. The 2A team ultimately won 105-79. Price led the team with 24 points on six made three-pointers. Hollingshed shined on the defensive end and nine points. Collier was strong on the board and finished with 8 points.
At halftime, OKU head coach Lee Ott was named Small School Coach of the Year. Ott will coach Hollingshed in the Native American All-State in Okmulgee on Saturday.
