Turf and Dirt Showcase at Doenges

The Doenges Ford Indians will host a recruiting event this weekend from Rigdon Field, as coaches from all across the regional will converge in downtown Bartlesville to get a look at area players.
The Indians will host teams from Branson, Kansas City and Nowata here to visit with the coaches.
Manager John Pannell details a little of what will happen.
The players and parents will also visit with the coaches to talk about the recruiting process. Coaches will be on hand from 13 different regional schools, including NCAA Division I teams like OU and Central Arkansas, to JUCOs, NCAA Division II, NAIA schools and more.
Pannell says he hopes to place some of his players with one of these schools.
After the skill drills are over on Saturday there will be games played, but they will look different.
The Indians are splitting into two different teams, Indians A and B, in order for all the players to get an opportunity to be seen. Bartlesville will play games at Noon, 2:00, and 6:00 on Saturday.
Pitching will be pre-determined and there will be no substitution rules.
Then on Sunday the Tribe will play at Noon and will play an intra-squad game at 4:00 PM to wrap up the event.
We will have some radio coverage of those games for you this weekend on KWON, broadcast schedule to come later this week.
