Nowata’s Maddox Bullen put together an impressive tournament run at the Walter Hopper tour Championship as a part of PGA South Central Section Junior Golf play. Bullen took second place in the 16-18 year old age range with a score of +5. Bullen finished just four shots of the lead.

 The event was played at Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa. This was Bullen’s sixth top three finish on the junior tour this season.

Bartlesville’s Tanner John tied for 14^th with a +15 score. John had a tough frist round but recovered to post a day two score of 75.

This past spring Bullen placed ninth in the Oklahoma 2A State Golf Tournament. This was his second top-10 finish at state in his high school career. Bullen and his younger brother Spencer helped the Ironmen qualify for state as a team as well.
